HUMBOLDT COUNTY

From a photographic and generally artistic standpoint, Humboldt County has a little bit (or a lot) of everything an artist may desire landscape wise, from beautifully rugged coastline to ancient old-growth forests, pristine rivers, and weather beaten rock formations; a symbol of the active geology that defines the region. The beauty of these landscapes is not necessarily the appeal for my work, but the solitude I can effortlessly find in these environments and the endless opportunity for finding new, constantly changing, subjects on the landscape.
