RIVER AND ROCK

There are hundreds of thousands of miles of river in California, many of the wildest and most impressive of these being within a hundred miles or less from my front door. When you consider that something is always shifting in these systems, whether it be related to flow, channel morphology, vegetation, or a variety of biotic factors, the reality becomes, that there will always be something new to observe, explore, and interpret. Often when I am out with my camera, I find myself returning to the same spots over and over, generally coming away with a new and exciting visual discovery.

The endless potential of these dynamic river systems to produce new sights and observations through the lens of a camera and the fact that there is a seemingly endless amount of river miles to explore, drives my passion for photography. This is a long term project that I hope to build on for many years to come.
